Ole Miss Softball Freshman Madi George Named to Softball America Top-100
Ole Miss softball player Madi George has been recognized among the top players in the nation. The freshman was named to Softball America’s final 2026 individual player rankings, finishing at No. 58 overall, the university announced Monday.
George has made a significant impact since her debut in February. She earned several individual honors throughout the season, including NFCA All-American and freshman All-America recognition from Softball America and D1Softball. The Leander, Texas native also received first-team All-Region honors from the NFCA and was named to the All-SEC second team.
Her impressive debut season included a .379 batting average, 23 home runs, 63 RBIs, 27 walks, and 10 doubles. George set multiple single-season school records for Ole Miss, including home runs, RBIs, total bases (150), and slugging percentage (.824). Her 23 home runs ranked second in the SEC, behind Kendall Wells of the NFCA National Freshman of the Year.
George was also a finalist for the NFCA Freshman of the Year award and received weekly honors at the national and SEC levels. Her power and performance helped her stand out as one of the nation’s top newcomers in college softball this season.
