Mississippi State Signs All-Conference Golfers Gavin Isbell and Arth Sinha
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State men’s golf announced the addition of two All-Conference golfers, Gavin Isbell and Arth Sinha, to its roster for the upcoming season, according to head coach Dusty Smith.
Isbell, a Trussville, Alabama, native, joins the Bulldogs from Samford University, where he played his first two college seasons. He earned two top-10 finishes and was named SoCon Player of the Week as a freshman. During his sophomore year, Isbell recorded seven top-10 finishes and three top-five finishes, with a stroke average of 70.72, second-best in the Southern Conference. He finished in the top 20 in 10 of 11 events and earned All-SoCon honors at the season’s end.
“Gavin will bring us great experience and leadership to our young squad,” Smith said.
Sinha, a native of Melbourne, Florida, made an immediate impact at Texas-Arlington during his freshman season, earning First Team All-WAC honors. He secured a spot in the NCAA Bryan Regional after winning the WAC Tournament wire-to-wire. In 2025-26, Sinha posted four top-five finishes and recorded 20 rounds at par or better.
“Arth will bring a lot of experience as a young player and has proven he can win at the collegiate level,” Smith added.
Mississippi State concluded the 2025-26 season with its fifth NCAA Championship appearance. The Bulldogs are set to return to competition in the fall. For more updates on the program, fans can follow Mississippi State golf on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram by searching “HailStateMG.”
