Holly Springs races to big win to advance to Big House for fourth straight year
The more things change, the more they stay the same: Holly High is headed to the Big House for the fourth straight season.
The Hawks of Holly Springs jumped all over Noxubee County early and often, taking a 17-7 first quarter lead and never looking back as they raced to a 76-43 win on Friday at ICC.
The win moved the Hawks to 25-7 on the season and, more importantly, got them one win closer towards their goal of a state title.
Holly Springs got 8 first quarter points from Derek Fountain and were able to control both ends of the court for the entire contest.
Fountain led with 22 points while Cori Bell added 16. Five other Hawks scored at least 6 points in a well rounded scoring attack. For Noxubee, JadaKiss Williams led with 11.
Holly Springs moves on to play St Andrews on Wednesday, Mar 4 at 12:00 PM.
