Mississippi Valley State’s Colton Harris Named SWAC Cross Country Newcomer of the Week

Mississippi Valley State University freshman Colton Harris has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Men’s Cross Country Newcomer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Harris finished 21st overall at the Legacy Series Invite with a time of 20 minutes, 48.7 seconds. His performance helped the Delta Devils secure a fourth-place team finish, according to the school.

This is Harris’s first weekly conference honor of the season. He is scheduled to compete next at the Belhaven Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Clinton, Mississippi, as he looks to build on his recent success.
