Mississippi State’s Boone Named SEC Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State center Canon Boone has been named Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Boone played all 75 snaps in the Bulldogs’ victory against Minnesota on Saturday, guiding the offensive line in a performance that helped Mississippi State rush for 252 yards. The ground attack marked the second straight game the Bulldogs surpassed 250 rushing yards.
Behind Boone’s leadership, the Bulldogs also saw a rusher exceed 100 yards and score multiple touchdowns for the second consecutive game. The offensive line’s effort was key in ending Minnesota’s eight-game home winning streak.
Mississippi State will carry this momentum into its next game against South Carolina, with kickoff scheduled for 3:15 p.m. CT on SEC Network. The Bulldogs aim to continue their winning streak as they prepare for the upcoming matchup.
