Daniel Hill is the absolute truth. One more time for the people in the back. DANIEL HILL IS THE TRUTH. He is in the class of 2024. This kid is like a power glide transmission. When he shifts into that last gear he is GONE. He picked up an offer from Texas today and also holds an offer from Alabama.
Hill is a 6’1″ 220lb back out of Meridian. Let’s just go out on the limb and say there is a RB a little over an hour south in Picayune that he resembles. This kid can tote the rock with the best of the best. Last season he had 818 rushing yards, 581 receiving yards and 19 total touchdowns in only eight games.
Daniel is very explosive out of the backfield. He gets the rock, sees the hole then attacks it with a mean attitude. I think he has a great combination of size and speed. The way he separates from defenders after he gets to the secondary level is mind blowing. Kid is 220 pounds running right by 170 pound defensive backs. It’s not hard to tell Hill is a track star.
Hill’s highlight film is full of sixty and seventy yard runs. He even has one in there where goes ninety plus for the touchdown. Even though he is a taller back it isnt hard for him to run behind his shoulder pads. He does a great job of picking up yards after the catch as well. He has a mean stiff arm too. On one play he mushes a safety all in the face before walking in the end zone. Hill is a guy you want in your backfield. He hands great hands out of the backfield too. That shows in his receiving yards
“It feels good to have an offer from Texas,” said Hill. “Texas is one of my favorite schools so when they offered it put a smile on my face. This summer I’m going to work on really building up more speed and my lateral movements.”
Hill having more speed and moving better is going to be real scary. There is no telling how good this kid can be over the next two years.
“I try to run the ball the hardest I can every chance I get,” said Hill. “Our team just need to focus and lock in this summer. I feel if we do that we are one of the best teams in the state, if not the best team in the state.”
