Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Reaches Doubles Final at Milwaukee Classic
Milwaukee, Wis. — Ole Miss men’s tennis continued its strong performance at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic on Saturday. Junior Kai Milburn and sophomore Igor Kudriashov advanced to the doubles final after winning their semifinal match on Saturday.
The Rebel duo defeated Will Steinberg and David Fix 6-3 in the quarterfinals. They then edged Matthieu Chambonniere and Maximus Dussault 7-6 to reach the final, which is scheduled for Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
In singles play, Milburn won his quarterfinal match in three sets, defeating Charlie Spencer 6-3, 5-7, 10-1. He then defeated Nolan Balthazor in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-2. Kudriashov also advanced to the singles semifinals after beating Chambonniere in the quarterfinals, 2-6, 6-4, 10-3. He was defeated by Dussault in the semifinals, 7-6, 6-4.
The Rebels will conclude the tournament Sunday with Milburn and Kudriashov competing in the doubles final.
