Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Wins Doubles Title at Milwaukee Classic

Milwaukee, Wis. — Ole Miss men’s tennis wrapped up its opening fall tournament with a doubles title Sunday, as juniors Kai Milburn and Igor Kudriashov won the championship at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, according to university sources.

The Rebel duo defeated Ludovico Vaccari and Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli, 6-3, in the final. They advanced to the title match after posting victories in the quarterfinals and semifinals on Saturday. Milburn and Kudriashov beat Will Steinberg and David Fix, 6-3, in the quarterfinals and won a 7-6 semifinal over Matthieu Chambonniere and Maximus Dussault.

The victory marked a successful start to Ole Miss’s fall season. Milburn also reached the singles semifinals after defeating Charlie Spencer in the quarterfinals, while Kudriashov advanced to the semifinals with a win over Chambonniere.

The Rebels are scheduled to compete in eight more tournaments this fall, carrying momentum from Milwaukee into the upcoming events, according to the university’s athletics department.
