Ole Miss Softball Adds Transfer Pitcher Lexie Hames from Clemson

Ole Miss softball has signed Lexie Hames as a transfer to bolster its pitching rotation for the upcoming season, the university announced Tuesday.

Hames joins the Rebels after one season at Clemson, where she made 16 appearances, including six starts. She posted a 2-2 record with a 3.33 ERA over 27.1 innings pitched, according to school officials.

The native of Harmony, Pennsylvania, held opponents to a .196 batting average and struck out 36 batters. She recorded two complete games, including a notable start in the NCAA Regional elimination game against the College of Charleston, where she pitched four innings, allowed two hits, one earned run, and struck out six batters.

Hames’s strong performance in high school earned her recognition as a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania. She was regarded as the state’s top recruit by MaxPreps and was rated as the No. 2 overall pitcher in her class by Extra Innings Softball.

She joins a 2027 recruiting class that includes several other Gatorade Players of the Year, such as Jada Savage and Corey Goguts. Hames has three seasons of eligibility remaining and is expected to be a key contributor for the Rebels next season.
