Ole Miss Softball Adds Transfer Jenna Sniffen from Arizona

The Ole Miss softball program has announced the addition of Jenna Sniffen as a transfer for next season, according to an official release from the university. Sniffen joins the Rebels after two seasons at Arizona, where she was primarily a third baseman and a fixture in the Wildcats’ infield.

During her time at Arizona, Sniffen appeared in 117 games and made 116 starts. She posted a .279 batting average with 13 home runs, 14 doubles, and 55 RBIs. Known for her plate discipline, she drew 33 walks and struck out just 24 times over two seasons, the release said.

Defensively, Sniffen maintained a fielding percentage of .956 and recorded 193 infield assists. She earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors and was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team in 2025, according to the release. Fans may recall her from the 2025 NCAA Regional, where she reached safely four times in three games against Ole Miss, which advanced from the Tucson Regional.

This season, Sniffen excelled in postseason play, driving in four runs and hitting a home run in the Durham Regional. Her addition marks the fourth transfer to Ole Miss’s roster, joining pitchers Lexie Hames (Clemson) and Hailey Lucas (Southern Illinois), along with outfielder Brie Howard (Austin Peay). The team will also feature 11 incoming freshmen for the upcoming season, head coach Jamie Trachsel said.
