Mississippi State Women’s Basketball Adds Top Juco Transfer Arianny Francisco de Oliveira
Mississippi State women’s basketball has added Arianny Francisco de Oliveira, the top junior college transfer of the 2026 class, the team announced Friday. The 6-foot-4 forward was ranked No. 1 in the Top 100 of the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report.
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Francisco de Oliveira played two seasons at Gulf Coast State. She averaged 18.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game last season, leading her team in both categories. She was named an NJCAA Third Team All-American for her performance.
She demonstrated versatility last season by knocking down 50 three-pointers, a team high, and shooting 83.2% from the free-throw line. Francisco de Oliveira has also represented Brazil internationally, competing most recently in the 2023 FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup. She previously played in the 2022 FIBA U18 and the 2021 FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship.
She is the fifth transfer portal addition for the Bulldogs, joining Reese Beaty, Aryss Macktoon, Cali Smallwood and Macie Phifer. The team also returns its top scorers from last season, including SEC All-Defensive and All-Freshman team member Madison Francis and Favour Nwaedozi, who averaged a double-double last season. State will additionally welcome incoming freshmen Lani Smallwood, Alabama’s Gatorade Girls’ Player of the Year, and Tennessee’s Miss Basketball Andrea Flores.
