Dickson, Tenn. — The Delta State University men’s golf team completed the second day of the Gulf South Conference Championships Tuesday at Greystone Golf Course.
The Statesmen shot a team total of 299 (+11) in the second round, bringing their two-day total to 601 (+25). They currently sit in eighth place overall.
Freshman Gonzalo De Minon led the team with an even-par 72 in the second round, maintaining his status at even par through two rounds with a total of 144. He is tied for 15th in the individual standings. De Minon recorded three birdies during his round.
Senior Peter Blazevic made a significant improvement on Tuesday, shooting a 74 (+2) in the second round. His two-round total is 153 (+9), placing him 33rd.
Two other Statesmen are tied for 34th place: sophomore Ratchanon Aiemsumang and sophomore Ty Werynski. Aiemsumang has a total of 154 (+10) after a 78 (+6) in the second round, while Werynski shot a 79 (+7).
The team will compete in the final round Wednesday at Greystone Country Club, with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. on hole 10.
