Southwest Tennessee jumped to an early lead Tuesday, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Brady Cooper singled down the left field line, and Chris Hendson drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. The team extended its lead in the second inning with five runs on three hits, including a two-run home run from Hendson and a two-run homer from Tylan Graves.

Despite the offensive surge, the Tigers fell short of overcoming the deficit.

For Coahoma, Walker, Landon Sith, Baker, Colòn, and Johnson each recorded a hit. Walker and Colòn led the team with two RBIs each, and the Tigers turned one double play defensively. Henson recorded a game-high 10 fielding chances for Southwest Tennessee, which finished with 12 hits and nine walks at the plate.

Baker led Southwest Tennessee with five RBIs, going 2-for-5 at the plate. Johnathan Walsh and Graves each had three hits, and Cooper added two. The team demonstrated patience at the plate, drawing three walks in addition to its nine overall. The Volunteers also played error-free defense in the game.
