Talladega tops Blue Mountain women’s soccer in Saturday matchup

Blue Mountain, Miss. — Blue Mountain Christian Women’s Soccer faced Talladega College in a non-conference matchup Saturday at The Summit. The Tornadoes pulled away in the second half to win 4-0.

The Toppers kept the game close in the first half, trailing 1-0 at halftime. They fought hard but were unable to score against Talladega’s defense.

In the second half, Talladega added three goals, creating separation and sealing the victory. Nayelli Aguayo and Maria Eduarda Koespel each attempted two shots for Blue Mountain, with Aguayo also registering a shot on goal. Krisslyn Boyles recorded one shot.

Kiana Gordon played all 90 minutes in goal for the Toppers, making eight saves. She stopped five shots in the first half alone, but the Tornadoes scored four goals overall.
