Seven Mississippi State Baseball Players Earn All-SEC Honors
STARKVILLE — Seven Mississippi State baseball players were named All-SEC by league coaches on Monday, marking a strong postseason showing for the Bulldogs.
Junior third baseman Ace Reese and graduate designated hitter Noah Sullivan received first-team honors. Reese, a two-time All-SEC selection, started all 55 games this season and leads the conference with 21 doubles. He also ranks third in home runs with 20 and has driven in 67 RBIs. Sullivan, who started 47 games, hit .344 in SEC play, ranking eighth in the conference, and posted an on-base percentage of .452.
Graduate outfielder Bryce Chance and senior reliever Ben Davis earned second-team recognition. Chance, who played all 55 games, led the team with a .350 batting average and stole 12 bases. Davis made 22 appearances out of the bullpen, recording five saves and holding opponents to a .229 average. Freshmen Jacob Parker and Jack Bauer also received All-SEC Freshman honors, with Parker batting .326 and Bauer posting a 4-0 record with 30 strikeouts in 21 innings.
Since 1941, Mississippi State players have earned 172 All-SEC honors across 135 athletes. Bauer and Parker are the 14th and 15th Bulldogs to make the SEC All-Freshman team, and the first since 2023. The duo’s recognition marks the second time two rookies from MSU received such honors, joining the 2011 team of CT Bradford and Adam Frazier.
Reese has been a key player for the Bulldogs and will now prepare for the postseason. Valincius, who finished the regular season tied for the SEC lead with nine wins, also received all-conference recognition. The left-hander from Illinois struck out 86 SEC batters, more than any other pitcher in the league, and posted a 3.04 ERA.
Mississippi State’s season continues as the team prepares for postseason play, with these honors recognizing the contributions of its top performers during the regular season.
