Ole Miss Women’s Golf Tied for Second at Boilermaker Classic After Two Rounds

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The University of Mississippi women’s golf team stands in second place after two rounds of the Boilermaker Classic at the Kampen-Cosler Course, according to a news release from Ole Miss athletics.

The Rebels are 3-over par and trail Miami by three strokes heading into the final round Tuesday. Ole Miss opened the tournament with an 11-under 277, holding a five-stroke lead after the first round.

Freshman Lisa Herman leads Ole Miss in third place at 3-under par, following rounds of 70 and 71 in her collegiate debut. She is one stroke behind the co-leaders, Barbora Bujáková of Miami and Kaitlyn Schroeder of North Florida. Mary Miller is tied for fourth at 1-under par after shooting a 68 and a 75.

Other Ole Miss players include Kajsalotta Svarvar, tied for 15th at 3-over 147, and Matilda Björkman, tied for 32nd at 7-over 151. Freshman Ebba Lundqvist shot a 71 in her first round but posted an 81 in the second, leaving her tied for 36th at 8-over. Sophie Linder, competing individually, is in 54th place at 11-over 155.

The Rebels hold an 11-stroke advantage over third-place North Florida. Play is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. CT with a shotgun start for the final round.
