Ole Miss Women’s Golf Opens 2026-27 Season at Boilermaker Classic
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Ole Miss women’s golf kicks off the 2026-27 season Monday and Tuesday at the Boilermaker Classic at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
Under 12th-year head coach Kory Henkes, the Rebels aim to defend their title from last year’s event, which they won with a team score of 2-under 862. Ole Miss finished ahead of Indiana by one stroke to claim its 20th team victory under Henkes.
The tournament will be held on the Kampen-Cosler Course, an 18-hole links-style layout designed by Pete Dye. The course measures 6,299 yards and is par 72. It features large bentgrass greens, fairways, tees, sand bunkers, ponds, native grasslands, and a celery bog.
The Rebels will have a full lineup, including three returning players from last year’s winning team. Senior Sophie Linder, who finished 12th last season, headlines the squad and will compete as an individual. Other key returnees include Kajsalotta Svarvar, who posted a team-leading 71.39 stroke average, and Matilda Björkman, who tied for third at last year’s Boilermaker Classic in her debut.
Freshmen Ebba Lundqvist from Stockholm and Lisa Herman from Jenks, Oklahoma, will make their collegiate debuts. Lundqvist competed for Haninge Golf Club in Sweden, while Herman won the 2026 PGA High School Golf National Invitational and the Indian Springs AJGA Junior Tournament.
The field includes teams from Abilene Christian, Ball State, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Iowa, Kent State, Little Rock, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Missouri State, North Florida, Purdue, Rutgers, and Western Kentucky.
Ole Miss is coming off a strong 2025-26 campaign, which saw the team advance to the NCAA Championship for the fourth straight year. The Rebels also won the Cougar Classic and the Boilermaker Classic, finished fifth in stroke play at the SEC Championship, and tied for fourth at the NCAA Louisville Regional. Svarvar earned WGCA and Golfweek honorable mention All-America honors, while Miller received second-team All-SEC honors.
