Ole Miss Women’s Tennis Emily Welker Named CSC Academic All-District

Ole Miss women’s tennis player Emily Welker has received the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honor, the organization announced. The award recognizes student-athletes for their combined academic and athletic performance.

Welker, a public health major, is one of 23 SEC athletes honored in the district. She will now compete for a spot on the CSC Academic All-America® team, which is selected nationally by CSC members.

During her senior season, Welker became the 14th All-American in Ole Miss women’s tennis history in 2025. She competed in the NCAA Singles Championships last fall, reaching the Final Four as a seed between 9 and 16. Her season-high ITA singles ranking was No. 6 in the spring, and she finished with a 26-7 singles record, including eight wins over ranked opponents.

In doubles, Welker paired with Andrea Nova at the NCAA Doubles Championships, reaching the second round. The duo finished the season ranked No. 6 nationally with a 24-7 record, including a win over Vanderbilt’s No. 6 pair in the SEC Tournament. Her performance earned her a spot on the All-SEC Second Team for 2025-26.

Ole Miss head coach Gordon Roberts praised Welker’s contributions to the team on and off the court. Follow Ole Miss women’s tennis on social media for updates on the program.
