Mississippi State Track and Field Concludes 2026 NCAA Outdoor Season

Eugene, Ore. — Mississippi State’s track and field team finished its 2026 outdoor season at the NCAA Championships held at Oregon. Senior Manie Mevo competed in her first NCAA meet, finishing her collegiate career with a 12.87-meter triple jump on the final day.

Over the four-day competition, the Bulldogs earned three podium finishes and three First Team All-American honors. Marie Rougetet earned bronze in the hammer throw with a mark of 69.71 meters, marking the program’s first trophy winner and first-team All-American in that event.

The men’s 4×100-meter relay team placed fifth in the final, the first MSU relay to reach the podium since 2009. Nicholas Fakorede, Kibren Moore, Gabriel Scott, and Sherman Hawkins Jr. finished in 39.07 seconds, earning First Team All-American honors.

Khalil Antoine made his NCAA Championships debut in the high and triple jumps, tying for seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 2.19 meters. Additionally, Kevin Grubbs, Juha Narhi, and the men’s 4×400-meter relay team received Second Team All-American honors.

Mississippi State will send a select group of athletes to compete next week at the USATF U20 Championships in Eugene, alongside other Bulldogs competing at national levels. For more information, visit HailState.com or follow the program on social media.
