Ole Miss Volleyball Edges Ohio State in Four Sets in Norman

Norman, Okla. — The Ole Miss volleyball team opened the 2026 Big Ten/SEC Challenge with a 3-1 victory over Ohio State on Wednesday at McCasland Field House. The Rebels improved to 3-1 this season, while the Buckeyes dropped to 2-2.

Ole Miss was led by Jorda Crook, who finished with 15 kills and seven digs. Shayla Meyer added 13 kills and three blocks, and Jaidyn Hartsfield also contributed 13 kills. Cameron Bradley provided a defensive spark with 21 digs and three aces, helping the Rebels overcome a slow start and secure the win.

The Rebels started strong, taking the first set 25-22 after trailing early. Ohio State responded by taking the second set 25-17, capitalizing on Ole Miss errors and hitting .273. Ole Miss regrouped in the third, with Meyer and Crook fueling a run that helped the team win 25-17 and take a 2-1 lead.

In the decisive fourth set, Ole Miss jumped out to a 7-3 lead behind strong serving from Bella Bonanno. The Rebels maintained their advantage, closing out the match 25-22. Bonanno continued her serving success, and Bradley added a service ace to help secure the win.

The team will face Washington on Thursday at 3 p.m. CT in the tournament finale, streamed on SEC Network Plus. Ole Miss fans can support the team through the ACE Club and Rebel Rewards programs, according to the school’s athletics website.

Ole Miss head coach Bre Henry celebrated her 50th career victory with the win, which marked a strong start to the season’s early tournament play.
