Ole Miss Volleyball Hosts Southern Miss and Central Arkansas for Rebel Classic
The University of Mississippi volleyball team is hosting the Rebel Volleyball Classic at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center this weekend. The Rebels will face Southern Miss on Saturday at 6 p.m. and Central Arkansas on Sunday at 12 p.m. Both matches will be streamed live via SEC Network Plus, according to school officials.
Ole Miss enters the tournament with a 3-2 record after competing at the Allstate Big Ten/SEC Challenge. The team secured a four-set win over Ohio State before falling in five sets to Washington. Defensive standout Cameron Bradley, the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Week, leads the nation with 122 digs through five matches.
The Rebels have shown strong blocking performance early in the season, with career-highs from Nina Moorer and Jorda Crook during their recent matches. Ole Miss has a tendency to finish stronger, winning nine of 12 sets from the third through fifth during their last series of matches.
Ole Miss is also integrating several key transfers for 2026, including UAB’s Jorda Crook, Houston’s Tenesyn Frye, and Texas State’s Nina Moorer. Crook, a former All-AAC selection, has accumulated 835 career kills and 321 digs, adding offensive depth to the team.
In series history, Ole Miss is 25-3 against Southern Miss, with the last loss in the series coming in 2005. The Rebels hold a 2-0 advantage over Central Arkansas, including a five-set victory in 2019. This weekend marks the first official match against Southern Miss since 2018, following an exhibition in 2025.
Last season, the Rebels went 1-1 at the Big Ten/SEC Challenge, defeating Ohio State and narrowly losing to Washington. Bradley’s defensive efforts continue to shine, with her averaging 78 digs over the first three matches, leading the NCAA.
Ole Miss libero Cameron Bradley has exceeded her previous career-highs, with a season debut highlighted by a 30-dig performance. She also recorded five assists in two matches and leads the team with six service aces.
Transfer Jorda Crook has made an immediate impact, bringing experience and offensive firepower. The Alabama native has totaled 835 kills and 321 digs in her career, contributing significantly to the Rebels’ attack.
