Four Northwest Mississippi Community College Football Players Earn CSC Academic All-America Honors

GREENWOOD, Miss. — Four football players from Northwest Mississippi Community College earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® honors for the 2025-26 academic year, marking the largest group in school history. All four competed on the team that won the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference championship in 2025, according to school officials.

The honorees include offensive linemen Jordan Knox and Reginhard Pierre-Nau, who made the First Team, and linebacker Jerry Wall III and defensive back Dre Riley, named to the second team. The four join women’s soccer player Emma Jensen, bringing Northwest’s total to five honorees for the year, the school said.

Head coach Benjy Parker praised his players’ achievements. “These are all great young men with bright futures. I’m very proud of those guys and wish them the best,” he said.

Knox, a business major from Rock Hill, South Carolina, maintained a 3.93 GPA and was consistently recognized on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the President’s List. On the field, he was a key contributor on an offense that averaged 31.3 points per game and rolled up more than 4,600 yards of total offense. He was named a First Team All-MACCC North lineman.

Jim Jones, offensive line coach, highlighted Knox’s importance to the team. “Jordan was an absolutely critical part of our 2025 championship team. He is very talented, competed hard every day, and was a great leader for us. He will be highly successful both in the classroom and on the field at the University of Kentucky,” Jones said.

Wall, from Olive Branch, had a 3.54 GPA and earned First Team All-MACCC North, NJCAA Region 23 All-Region, and Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American honors in 2025. He recorded 61 tackles, including 9.5 for a loss, and five sacks. Wall was a three-time member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was named to the President’s or Vice President’s List each semester.

Defensive coordinator Paige Anders praised Wall’s dependability. “Jerry is very dependable both on and off the field. He is a great player and student,” he said.

Pierre-Nau, from Jonesboro, Georgia, maintained a 3.75 GPA and was a First Team All-MACCC North and NJCAA Region 23 All-Region selection. He was instrumental in the team’s 10-2 record and semifinal appearance in the NJCAA Division I playoffs. Jones also lauded Pierre-Nau’s contributions and academic achievements.

Riley, a Charleston native, posted a 3.71 GPA and was recognized as a First Team All-MACCC North defensive back. He was second on the team with 46 tackles and scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery. Riley was also part of the MACCC Football Academic Team of the Year.

Charles Jones, defensive backs coach, spoke about Riley’s personality. “Dre is a guy with a great personality who’s a joy to be around. You’re always going to get his best effort on the field and in the classroom,” he said.

The five honorees bring Northwest’s total to nine all-time CSC Academic All-America selections. Previous recipients include Spencer Cayten (baseball, 2017), Sam Brumfield (football, 2022), Michael Hiers (football, 2022), and Jacoby Jones (football, 2022), school officials added.
