GREENWOOD, Miss. — Emma Jensen has earned a top academic and athletic honor. The sophomore midfielder from Gammelby, Germany, was named the 2025-26 College Division Academic All-America® Women’s At-Large Team Member of the Year by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Jensen was a standout during her time at Northwest Mississippi Community College, helping lead the Rangers to a 43-1-1 record and back-to-back NJCAA Division II national championships. She was also a first-team NJCAA All-American in December and received multiple awards, including NJCAA Tournament MVP and Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference/NJCAA Region 23 Player of the Year following her freshman season.

She finished her career as the program’s all-time leader in goals with 53 and points with 126. In 2025, she scored 31 goals and added 10 assists. Jensen capped her college career by scoring both goals in the final three minutes of Northwest’s 2-1 victory over Heartland Community College in the NJCAA Division II national final.

Academically, Jensen maintained a high GPA, earning recognition on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the President’s List each semester. She was also named a Distinguished Academic All-MACCC and a Second Team NJCAA All-Academic after her freshman year. The 2024 team was honored as the MACCC and NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.

Off the field, Jensen volunteered at youth soccer clinics and reading and science fairs at Senatobia Elementary School. Her coach, James Beattie, praised her contributions, calling her the best player he has coached in college and emphasizing her leadership and character. Athletic Director Jake Gordon highlighted Jensen’s work ethic and leadership in leading the team to national titles while maintaining academic excellence.

Jensen is only the fifth student-athlete from Northwest Mississippi Community College to receive CSC Academic All-America® honors and the first to be named Team Member of the Year. Her previous honors include selections in football and baseball, with Jensen joining notable alumni from the college’s history.
