Smithville gets pair of come from behind victories to advance in baseball playoffs

The Smithville Seminoles got a pair of hard fought come from behind victories against the Pine Grove Panthers to advance to the third round of the state baseball playoffs.

The Seminoles trailed 4-1 after 5 innings in game one before plating 5 runs in the 5th inning and going on to win 7-4.

In game 2, Smithville trailed 7-3 after 3 innings before putting 13 batters to the plate in the 4th inning and coming away with 9 runs and a 12-7 victory.

Smithville moves on to face TCPS in the third round.
