Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Advances Four Players at ITA All-American Championships

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Four Ole Miss men’s tennis players advanced to the next round Saturday at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

Senior Moritz Kudernatsch was the first Rebel to win, defeating Georgia’s Maxim DuBouch 6-2, 6-3. Kudernatsch controlled the match from the start, dropping only five games across two sets.

Vlado Jankanj, a sophomore, dominated Liberty’s Benjamin Sparks with a 6-2, 6-0 victory. He surrendered just two games in the second set to move into the Round of 128.

Senior Mason Landreth also earned a straight-set win, beating Georgia’s Eudald Gonzalez 6-2, 6-4. Landreth took control early and held off Gonzalez in the second set to advance.

Finally, sophomore Pietro Pampanin secured his spot with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Ashton Adesoro, dropping just four games in the process.

With these victories, Ole Miss placed four singles players into the Round of 128 at a top fall collegiate tennis event. The Rebels will continue competition Sunday at the ITA Championships in Tulsa.
