Hernando girls turning heads after victory over 3x defending champs
The Hernando Lady Tigers have turned some heads with their early season success.
A neutral court victory over the 3x defending state champions will do that.
Hernando got a 48-31 victory over Pine Grove just before Christmas break to move to 10-3 on the season.
Zyqira Smith led the way off the bench with 13 points. Kendria Merriweather went for 11, as did Abbey Harrison, including her first career three pointer to ice the game in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Tigers trael to compete in the Magnolia Heights tournament on Friday and have one more out of district game before their first district contest against Oxford on January 7th.
