Ole Miss volleyball beats Missouri in four sets, Crook hits 1,000th kill
The Ole Miss volleyball team defeated Missouri in four sets Friday night at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center. The Rebels won 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20 against the Tigers.
Jorda Crook led Ole Miss with 23 kills and recorded her 1,000th career kill during the match. Melia Johnson added 13 kills, and Shayla Meyer contributed 10. The Rebels (8-5, 2-0 SEC) also received strong performances from Keirstyn Carlton and Ryea Jackson.
Ole Miss jumped out to an early lead, taking the first set behind a balanced offensive effort. The Tigers fought back to win the third set but the Rebels responded in the fourth, closing out the match with a 25-20 win. The victory marks the Rebels’ second straight SEC win after an extended road trip.
The team is scheduled to face Vanderbilt on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT at the Gillom Center. Fans can watch via SEC Network Plus. Ole Miss continues to build momentum as they aim for a strong SEC season.
