Ole Miss Volleyball Scheduled to Host LSU

The Ole Miss volleyball team was scheduled to host LSU at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center in Oxford, according to the team’s preview. The match was to stream on SEC Network Plus.

Ole Miss entered at 8-13 overall and 2-8 in the Southeastern Conference. LSU was 9-10 and 4-6. The teams were set to meet for the first time since Ole Miss beat LSU in the 2025 SEC Tournament.

The Rebels were coming off a 3-0 loss to Mississippi State on Friday in Oxford. Ole Miss recorded nine blocks and held the Bulldogs to a .242 hitting percentage, but struggled to score. Shayla Meyer led the Rebels with seven kills and three blocks, while Ryea Jackson had four kills and five blocks.

Libero Cameron Bradley led the SEC and ranked 11th nationally with 4.93 digs per set, according to Ole Miss. Despite an injury, she had 14 service aces this season. Sophomore Bella Bonanno recorded career highs of 18 digs against South Carolina and 20 at Auburn while filling in for Bradley.

Setter Vivianna Samaniego ranked ninth in the SEC with 0.38 aces per set in conference matches. Ole Miss was 7-0 when recording at least seven aces and 1-13 in its other matches, the team said. LSU ranked last in the conference in aces, while Ole Miss had allowed the most.

Jorda Crook led Ole Miss with 222 kills and 57 blocks, and ranked second on the team with 18 aces. The senior opposite reached 1,000 career kills in a win over Missouri on Oct. 2. Meyer had 931 career kills and 758 digs, while Samaniego was 72 assists short of 1,000.

LSU’s Jurnee Robinson averaged 4.92 kills per set with a .237 hitting percentage. Camryn Jeffrey averaged 2.40 kills per set, Jessica Jones 1.63 and Kiley Brooks 3.99 digs. Ole Miss noted LSU was 1-5 when Robinson had 15 or fewer kills and 5-3 when she recorded at least 20.

LSU led the all-time series 57-24, but six of the teams’ previous nine meetings had gone five sets, according to Ole Miss. In their most recent matchup, the 2025 SEC Tournament meeting, Meyer had 17 kills and seven digs while hitting .600. Melia Johnson recorded a career-high 21 kills at LSU during the regular season last year.
