“It feels great to be committed to Jackson State,” said Philip Short. “I get a chance to play in front of my home town and for a great coach like Coach Taylor. I love the atmosphere of the games at JSU and the fans show mad support. I feel like God led me to Jackson State!”
Short spent his first two years of eligibility at Holmes Community College. He had a very great season that lead to an offer from Jackson State.
“I think I can come in and work hard to compete for the starting job. I plan on studying accounting.”
