First College Football Game to Be Played Tonight

It may not be a primetime Saturday night matchup in the SEC, but it is football.

NCAA Division I college football resumes tonight in a single matchup between FCS programs Central Arkansas and Austin Peay.

This game marks the start of an unofficial “new era” of college football with restrictions to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The game will air at 8 P.M. CST and will be airing on ESPN. Austin Peay finished last season at 11-4 while Central Arkansas sat at 9-4 in 2019.

Central Arkansas is a -3.5 favorite.
