CLINTON, Miss. — The William Carey University women’s cross-country team finished fourth at the MC Opener, hosted by Mississippi Christian. The Crusaders totaled 92 points in the season-opening race.
Kristina Stojanovic led William Carey, finishing sixth overall in the 5K with a time of 19 minutes, 5 seconds. Sydney Moudy was 17th in 19:58, followed by Hannah Mitchell in 23rd place with a time of 20:48.
Virginia Tirado placed 25th in 20:55, while Maria Tirado finished in 21:11. Macy Robertson rounded out the team in 21:24. William Carey is scheduled to return to competition on Sept. 18 at the Southern Showcase, hosted by Jacksonville State in Huntsville, Alabama.
