Werynski Finishes Tied for 34th at NCAA South/Southeast Regional
Valdosta, Ga. — Delta State men’s golfer Ty Werynski finished the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional with a top-35 finish. Competing as an individual, the sophomore tied for 34th with a three-round total of 218, or two over par.
Werynski opened the tournament with a 77 (+5). He then shot a 67 (-5) in the second round, featuring six birdies, which helped him climb the leaderboard into a tie for 26th place. In the final round, he carded a 74 (+2), maintaining his position against a field considered one of the strongest in NCAA Division II.
The second-round performance was among the best scores of the day and highlighted Werynski’s strong postseason effort. His overall finish reflects a competitive showing on the national stage for the Delta State standout.
