Ole Miss Softball’s Madi George Named Softball America Freshman All-American

Ole Miss softball player Madi George has been named a Freshman All-American by Softball America, the organization announced Tuesday. The Leander, Texas native received the honor after a standout debut season.

George’s impressive first year included All-SEC Second Team and NFCA All-South Region First Team selections. She batted .379 with 23 home runs, 63 RBIs, 10 doubles, and 27 walks. She set school records for home runs, RBIs, total bases (150), and slugging percentage (.824).

In her first NCAA Tournament, George hit .308 with two home runs and five RBIs, helping Ole Miss to postseason success. Her contributions helped the Rebels reach the NCAA Regional final, where they fell to Texas Tech.

George’s achievements highlight her as one of the top freshmen in college softball. Her performance continues Ole Miss’s streak of freshman honors, following Miali Guachino’s recognition in 2025.

The Rebels encourage fans to join Rebel Rewards, the official loyalty program, via the Ole Miss Sports app for chances to earn prizes. For more updates, visit OleMissSports.com or follow Ole Miss Softball on social media.
