Ole Miss Men’s Track & Field Ranks No. 5 in USTFCCCA Week Three Ratings
The University of Mississippi men’s track and field team is ranked No. 5 in the USTFCCCA Week Three Rating Index released Tuesday, marking a significant position in national standings. The ranking emphasizes individual and team performances across various events, according to the USTFCCCA.
Ole Miss has a history of strong rankings under 11th-year head coach Connie Price-Smith, who has contributed to 40 of the school’s 43 top-10 rankings. The team has excelled both indoors and outdoors, with 76 total appearances in the top 10 since her tenure began.
Among the top performers for Ole Miss, Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan leads with notable marks in the hammer throw (77.62 meters) and shot put (20.81 meters). Other key athletes include Sterling Scott in the triple jump, Max Armstrong in the 800 meters, and the 4×100-meter relay team.
The team will compete next week at the Virginia Challenge on April 17-18, as part of its outdoor season schedule. The rankings reflect ongoing progress and strong individual performances that could boost the team’s national standing further.
