Ole Miss Men’s Golf Leads at Mossy Oak Collegiate After Two Rounds
The Ole Miss men’s golf team, ranked No. 13, holds a nine-shot lead after two rounds at the Mossy Oak Collegiate at Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, according to the university’s athletics department.
The Rebels posted a team score of 559 (-17) through 36 holes. Four players are inside the top six individually, with Tom Fischer leading the field at 6-under par after rounds of 68 and 70. Fischer, from Birmingham, Alabama, has 13 birdies on the day and is seeking his second consecutive individual title.
Fellow Rebels Cameron Tankersley and Cohen Trolio are tied for fourth at 4-under, each shooting a 68 in the second round. Collins Trolio is also in the top six at 3-under, after carding a season-low 68 in the second round. Both Trolio brothers aim for their first collegiate victory, while Tankersley searches for his second win of the season.
Ole Miss led the field in par-4 and par-5 scoring and recorded 42 total birdies. Final-round play is scheduled to begin at 9:40 a.m. Central Time. Updates will be available on the team’s X account, OleMissMGolf, as well as on Instagram, Facebook, and the university’s athletic website.
