Ole Miss Women’s Basketball Duo Drafted in 2026 WNBA Draft

NEW YORK CITY — For the first time in program history, Ole Miss women’s basketball saw two players drafted in the same WNBA draft, according to school and league reports. Cotie McMahon was selected 11th overall by the Washington Mystics in the first round. Latasha Lattimore was picked 21st overall by the Chicago Sky in the second round.

The pair becomes the ninth and tenth Rebels drafted overall and the fourth and fifth in the Yolett McPhee-McCuin coaching era. McMahon is the fifth Ole Miss player to be taken in the first round.

McMahon, a Dayton, Ohio, native, earned multiple national honors this season. She was named SEC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-SEC. She also appeared on the Cheryl Miller Final Five list, the Wooden Award ballot, and the WBCA Regional Finalist list, among 27 honors.

During her only season at Ole Miss, McMahon averaged 19.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. She scored 703 points in 30 games, the fourth-most in school history for a single season. She also recorded 34 double-digit scoring games, surpassing a school record.

Lattimore, from Toronto, Ontario, was highly touted as well. She averaged 10.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Her 74 blocks ranked third in the SEC and 11th nationally, the second-highest single-season total in school history. She was named to watch lists for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year and the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year.

Ole Miss fans are encouraged to buy season tickets for the 2026-2027 season. The Rebels have made five consecutive NCAA tournaments and continue to develop under head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin.
