Ole Miss Golfer Cameron Tankersley Finishes 42nd at NCAA Championships
CARAMBAD, Calif. — Ole Miss men’s golfer Cameron Tankersley finished 42nd at the 2026 NCAA Championships held at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Tankersley shot a 78 (+6) in the final round Monday, ending with a four-day total of 290 (+2), according to tournament officials.
The senior from Dickson, Tennessee, concluded his college career with 19 top-10 finishes, the fourth-most in Ole Miss history. He began his final round with two pars before bogeying No. 12 and double-bogeying No. 13. Tankersley recovered with five consecutive pars and closed with a birdie on No. 2, finishing 3-over on the back nine for the round.
Throughout the tournament, he recorded 15 birdies and 42 pars. He ranked seventh in the field in par-5 scoring with an average of 4.56 strokes, finishing with a total of seven birdies on par-5 holes.
Ole Miss finished tied for 26th overall after missing the team cut on Sunday. The Rebels captured three team titles during the 2025-26 season, including the SEC Championship, and achieved 11 top-five finishes across the season.
