Mississippi State Men’s Golf Finishes Record-Setting Season at NCAA Championship
CARLSBAD, Calif. — Mississippi State men’s golf wrapped up its 2025-26 season at the NCAA Championship, finishing 17th overall. The Bulldogs posted their lowest NCAA Championship round in program history with a 9-under 279 in the final round at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, according to school sources.
Senior Ugo Malcor led the charge, shooting a 3-under 69 in the final round to tie the program’s lowest NCAA round by an individual. Malcor recorded five birdies on the North Course, including four in a span of 10 holes, finishing tied for 32nd overall.
True freshman Jackson Skinner also shot a 3-under 69 in the third round, closing with three birdies on the back nine. Dain Richie, who ended his collegiate career with a 2-under 70, rebounded after a tough front nine with five birdies on his second nine. Richie finished tied for 32nd overall at 215 (-1).
Senior Garrett Endicott shot a 1-under 71 in his final round, making a late charge with three birdies on his last six holes. Endicott’s round marked his 25th par-or-better round of the season, tying a school record. Freshman Jackson Cook made his NCAA debut in the third round, finishing with a 69.
Mississippi State concluded the season with two tournament wins, six top-five finishes, an SEC Match Play appearance, and its best NCAA Championship result in program history, according to team officials.
Individual final results included Malcor and Richie tied for 32nd at 215 (-1), Endicott at 218 (+2), Skinner at 223 (+7), and Drew Wilson, who did not finish, with a total of 157 (+13). Jackson Cook finished with a score of 80 (+8).
