Ole Miss’ Cameron Tankersley Advances to NCAA Men’s Golf Individual Final

CARLSBAD, Calif. — Ole Miss senior Cameron Tankersley secured his place in the final round of stroke play at the 2026 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship Sunday at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.

Tankersley shot even par in the third round, marking the Rebels’ best team performance of the week with a score of 884 (+20). He made four birdies during the round, bringing his total to 14 birdies for the weekend, which tied him for eighth among all players. He also ranks tied for third on par-5 scoring over the three days.

Heading into the final day of stroke play, Tankersley is in a tie for 15th place, just seven strokes behind the individual leader. Fellow Ole Miss players Tom Fischer and Finn Meister also posted strong rounds, with Fischer making four birdies including on his final collegiate hole. Meister, in his NCAA debut, posted a front-nine score of 8-over par.

Ole Miss finished the weekend with a team score of 884, placing 26th among the field of the nation’s top teams. All five Rebels shot even par in the final round. Tankersley is scheduled to tee off at 2:42 p.m. Central Time on Monday from hole 10.
