No. 10 Ole Miss Men’s Golf Ties for Second at NCAA Regional

The University of Mississippi men’s golf team, ranked No. 10, shot a program-best 15-under par in the second round of the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional on Tuesday at Bermuda Run Country Club. The score, the lowest among the 14-team field over the first two days, moved the Rebels into a tie for second place overall.

Ole Miss recorded 23 birdies during the round, which also marked their best postseason round in school history and the eighth-best round ever in program history. Cameron Tankersley led the team with seven birdies, finishing the day at 10-under for the tournament and tying for second individually.

Collins Trolio rebounded from an initial one-over start to shoot a five-under 66, his career-best round, and moved into the top 10 on the individual leaderboard. He sank six birdies over the final 13 holes, including four on his last six. Tom Fischer played a solid front nine before adding four birdies on the back nine, finishing at six under overall.

Finn Meister posted a one-under 70, and Cohen Trolio shot a 72, helping sustain the team’s momentum. Ole Miss will return for the third and final round Wednesday morning, aiming to stay in the top five and earn a spot in the NCAA Championships.
