Neal Terry, Kenneth Mills Named CCS Athletes of the Week

ATLANTA — Neal Terry and Kenneth Mills earned weekly awards from the Collegiate Conference of the South following their performances at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet, according to the conference.

Terry was named CCS Male Field Athlete of the Week after sweeping both jumping events. The senior won the long jump with a mark of 7.31 meters, setting a new program record and tying for the fifth-best jump in NCAA Division III this season. He also won the triple jump with a distance of 14.47 meters. This is Terry’s fifth CCS Field Athlete of the Week honor. He is a two-time CCS Male Track & Field Athlete of the Year and is in his final season with the Blazers.

Mills was named CCS Male Track Rookie Athlete of the Week after finishing first in the 100 meters in 11.03 seconds. He also contributed to Belhaven’s winning 4×100 relay team, which finished in 42.32 seconds. The freshman has now earned four CCS weekly honors this season, including two rookie awards and one athlete of the week nod. Mills has secured three of the four weekly awards for Belhaven this season.
