Mississippi State’s Troutman Named to SEC Community Service Team
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Taylor Troutman of Mississippi State has been named to the SEC Community Service Team, the league announced Tuesday.
Troutman’s community service efforts focus on giving back through education and mentorship. She has served as a peer mentor in Mississippi State’s ACCESS program, which supports students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) member.
The ACCESS program aims to help students with disabilities access quality postsecondary education through academic, career, and independent living experiences. Troutman also teaches preschoolers at the university’s Child Development Center for 20 hours each semester. Outside the classroom, she volunteers in her church’s preschool ministry and is a member of the FCA leadership team in Starkville.
Mississippi State, ranked No. 18, begins its SEC Tournament run Tuesday at approximately 1 p.m. CT against Kentucky on SEC Network. The team’s social media accounts are @HailStateSB on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.
