A total of 769 student-athletes from the conference’s 16 member schools received the honor, which recognizes academic achievement among athletes in winter sports.
Ole Miss athletes honored include players from men’s and women’s basketball and the rifle team. To qualify, student-athletes must have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA during the past academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must also have completed 24 semester or 36 quarter hours of non-remedial coursework and participated in their sport during the entire NCAA championship segment.
Among the Ole Miss honorees are Zach Day, Malik Dia, Eduardo Klafke, Max Smith from men’s basketball; Sira Thienou and J’Adore Young from women’s basketball; and eight rifle team members, including Susan Carter, Jordan de Jesus, Regan Diamond, and others.
The SEC’s Academic Honor Roll highlights the league’s commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes. The FedEx Student-Athlete Success Center at Ole Miss supports this mission by providing programs aimed at academic and personal achievement, preparing athletes for life beyond college sports.
