Mississippi Christian University Places 16 on GSC All-Academic Teams, 132 on Honor Roll
Clinton, Miss. — Mississippi Christian University announced its student-athletes’ academic achievements for the 2025-26 school year. The university placed 16 athletes on the Gulf South Conference All-Academic Teams and 132 on the league’s Academic Honor Roll, according to school officials.
The All-Academic Teams honor the top student-athletes in each sport based on academic achievement, athletic contributions, and overall involvement. To qualify, athletes must maintain at least a 3.20 GPA, have completed one full year at the school, and be a starter or significant contributor in their sport.
Student-athletes from six spring sports earned All-Academic Team recognition. Women’s tennis led with three honorees, while softball, women’s golf, men’s outdoor track and field, and women’s outdoor track and field each had multiple selections. The baseball program also had a representative on the team.
In total, 16 Choctaws received All-Academic Team honors, reflecting the department’s emphasis on success both academically and athletically. Additionally, 132 athletes were named to the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher who competed outside of regular season play.
Recipients of the honor roll came from baseball, men’s and women’s golf, softball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, men’s outdoor track and field, and women’s outdoor track and field. The achievements underscore Mississippi Christian’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence within its athletic programs.
