Mississippi State’s Ace Reese Named All-American for Ninth Time

Mississippi State’s Ace Reese has added to his postseason honors, receiving the College Baseball Foundation’s All-America team selection on Wednesday. This marks the ninth time the junior third baseman has earned All-American recognition, according to the foundation.

Reese’s accolades include first-team All-America honors from Baseball America and Perfect Game, along with second-team selections from the American Baseball Coaches Association and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. His selection brings Mississippi State’s all-time total to 177 All-America honors awarded to 87 players.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound player from Canton, Texas, is the third in program history to hit 20 or more home runs in back-to-back seasons, joining Will Clark and Rafael Palmeiro. He started all 62 games this season, batting .336 with 23 doubles, 24 homers and 74 RBIs. Reese led the Southeastern Conference in doubles and tied for eighth in MSU single-season history with that total. His 24 home runs rank fourth all-time at Mississippi State, and his 45 career homers match Tommy Raffo for ninth in school history.

Also recognized were designated hitter Noah Sullivan and starting pitcher Tomas Valincius, both honorable mentions from the College Baseball Foundation. Sullivan, a graduate from Orlando, Florida, started 54 games and posted a .342 batting average with 13 homers, 75 hits, and a team-high .451 on-base percentage. Valincius, a sophomore left-hander from Lockport, Illinois, posted an 11-2 record with a 3.50 ERA in 16 starts, striking out 134 batters in 97 2/3 innings.

The 2026 College Baseball Foundation All-America team includes players from multiple schools, with Reese and Sullivan representing Mississippi State. The Bulldogs continue to receive national recognition as their postseason journey progresses.
