Mississippi State University has seen its baseball program continue to produce professional talent in 2026. According to a release from assistant director of communications Logan Lowery, 40 former Bulldogs are active in professional baseball, including seven in Major League Baseball.
Among those in the majors are All-Stars Adam Frazier, Brent Rooker, Jordan Westburg and Brandon Woodruff, as well as World Series champion Nathaniel Lowe. MSU has a storied history of developing major league talent, with 71 players reaching the majors and 20 first-round draft picks, including Rooker, Westburg, Justin Foscue, Will Bednar, Landon Sims and Jurrangelo Cijntje, Lowery noted.
Frazier is with the Los Angeles Angels, batting .269 with 14 hits and 12 runs in 52 at-bats this season. Rooker, activated from the injured list on April 26, has a .111 batting average with two home runs and eight RBIs.
