Mississippi College Women’s Golf Second After Opening Round at GSC Championship
Dickson, Tenn. — Mississippi College women’s golf is in second place after the opening round of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Women’s Golf Championship at Greystone Golf Club. The Choctaws shot a 16-over 304 on Monday, trailing West Florida by two strokes.
West Florida leads the field with a team score of 2-over 70. Millie Thompson and Isabela Urruchua of West Florida share the individual lead at 2-under 70.
Allie Myers led Mississippi College with a 2-over 74, tying for sixth place. Sofia Mendez and Ana Quintanilla Gutierrez each shot 4-over 76, providing consistent performances in the middle of the lineup. Ashlynd Madden and Sydney Moss each scored 78, helping the team maintain its standing near the top of the leaderboard.
The second round is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21. Mississippi College aims to narrow the gap and compete for the conference title.
