Mississippi College Women’s Golf finishes fifth at Gulf South Championship
Dickson, Tenn. — The Mississippi College women’s golf team finished fifth at the Gulf South Conference Championship with a team score of 929, according to school officials.
Sydney Moss led the team with a T10 finish, posting a total of 228 (+12). She improved each round, shooting 78 (+6) in the first, 76 (+4) in the second, and 74 (+2) in the final round.
Ashlynd Madden finished 20th with a score of 234 (+18). Madden’s best round was a 73 (+1) in the second round.
Sofia Mendez and Allie Myers both tied for 23rd, each ending with a score of 237 (+21). Mendez shot rounds of 76 (+4), 78 (+6), and 83 (+11). Myers opened with a 74 (+2), but her final round of 85 (+13) dropped her overall score.
Another player, Ana Quintanilla Gutiérrez, also tied for 23rd with a total of 237 (+21). She improved in the final round, shooting an 80 (+8) after rounds of 76 (+4) and 81 (+9).
