Mississippi College women’s golf players earn All-GSC honors
CLINTON, Miss. — Mississippi College women’s golfers Ashlynd Madden and Sydney Moss were named to the All-Gulf South Conference Team, marking the first time the program has had two players honored in the same season. The conference announced the selections Wednesday.
This is the third consecutive year Madden, a sophomore from Spanish Fort, Alabama, has received all-conference recognition. She was a second-team selection in 2023. Moss, a redshirt junior who transferred from Stephen F. Austin, earned her first conference honor.
Moss played 26 rounds this season, winning the Hal Sutton Invitational and finishing in the top three in three tournaments, including second at the Emerald Coast Collegiate and third at the Lee and Joe Duncan Invitational. She posted a score of 254-144-15 for the season.
Madden also played 26 rounds and won the Duncan Invitational, ending the season with a score of 288-117-8. The duo helped Mississippi College finish fifth at the Gulf South Conference Championship in Dickson, Tennessee. Moss finished in the top 10 with a three-day score of 228, while Madden placed in the top 20 with a 234.
