Millsaps Golf Duo Named to SAA All-Sportsmanship Team

CANTON, Georgia — Millsaps College announced that senior golfer Steven Noack and sophomore golfer Abigail Cerwick have been named to the 2025-26 Southern Athletic Association All-Sportsmanship Team. The awards were given after the SAA Championships on Sunday, with the selections made by Millsaps’s golf coaches.

The two student-athletes exemplified leadership and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, displaying respect and fairness on the course. Noack, an accounting major from Austin, Texas, finished 35th at the championships, with a total score of 154. He tied for ninth place among 37 golfers and posted personal best scores in both two-round and 72-hole competitions.

Cerwick, a business and studio art major from Helena, Alabama, achieved her best three-round score of her college career at plus-36 in the same tournament. She finished the final round with a score of 76, six strokes better than her previous best at last year’s conference championship. Cerwick was named to the President’s List twice and earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester.

The awards highlight the sportsmanship and academic achievements of these two athletes.
